‘Hindi Pakhwara’ being held at FDDI campuses

 

In order to promote the knowledge and skills in use of official language – Hindi among the faculty, staff and the students in consonance with the policy of Government of India, Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) organized various competitions during the ‘Hindi Pakhwara’ held from 14-28, September, 2017 at its campuses.

Circular regarding ‘Hindi Pakhwara’ celebrations was circulated to all campuses of FDDI on 12th September 2017.

 

During the ‘Hindi Pakhwara’, six competitions were held out of which four were for the staff and two for the student community of FDDI that witnessed the oratory, logical skills and the literary acumen of the faculty, staff and students in Hindi.

 

 

It was on September 14, 1949 when the Constitution makers of the country decided to accord the status of Official Language of the Union to Hindi. To commemorate the historic occasion, Hindi Diwas is observed every year this day.

FDDI is determined to motivate the staff to use Hindi increasingly for official purposes and similarly for the students to use Hindi in their day-to-day works.

 

During all the competitions, a large number of both teaching and non-teaching staffs as well as students of FDDI participated enthusiastically.

 

During the prize distribution ceremony at the Noida campus, the winners were awarded cash prizes as well as certificate by the Chief Guest, Prof. Anil Kumar Rai where Mr. Adarsh Kumar, AFHQ CS, Executive Director, FDDI was present.

 

Prof. Rai who is working in the Department of Hindi, Faculty of Arts, University of Delhi and is a member - Governing Body of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies and has written more than 65 essays which have been published in journals and magazines. He has written books named ‘Nirguna Kavya Mein Nari’ published by Sarthak Prakashan, Delhi in the year 2001 and ‘Adikaleen Hindi Sahitya Adhyayan Ki Dishayen’ published by Shivlik Prakashan, Delhi in the year 2007.

 
 

At the FDDI, Fursatganj campus, debates and Hindi language knowledge for the officers and employees of the institute were held, and painting and essay competitions were held for the students. Indian Naval officer (Retd.) and President of JCI, Rae Bareli, Mr. Raghavendra Pratap Singh and well-known educationist, Mr. Vikram Singh gave the prizes to the winners.

 

On this occasion, a cultural programme including Sarswati Vandana, solo as well as duet-song was also performed by the students of FDDI.
