The morning session of the workshop was conducted by Dr. Senthilkumaran K, Coordinator of Teaching Learning Center & Assistant Professor, IIITDM, Kancheepuram. He briefed about the future of the footwear and fashion industries with the help of technologies like Industry 4.0, 3D printing and explained the future design aspects of 3D Printing technology, types & it’s applications. In the second session, Mr. Jayakrishnan, Research Scholar, IIITDM Kancheepuram explained about Software and Hardware aspects in 3D Printing process, especially about the fused deposition modeling process.

The afternoon session was conducted by Dr. Senthilkumaran K, Mr. Jayakrishnan & Mr. Aravindan, IIITDM- Kancheepuram. During this session, the participants received hands-on practice which helped them to acquire good understanding of entire process planning related to the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) process and few participants have got the chance to print and visualize their design using the FDM printer.

The workshop was attended by one hundred participants which included faculty & students.
