Joint research study of Faculties of FDDI gets published during GAFEF-2022

Two research study namely ‘Digital Applique Work: Beautiful in its Simplicity’ and ‘Technical Textile: Nanofibres and Their Potential Applications’ written by Faculties of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) has been published during the 4th International Conference on ‘Global Efforts on Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Food Security (GAFEF-2022)’ having ISBN: 978-93 - 5659-453-1.

The conference was held at Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University, Pokhran, Campus Pokhran, Nepal from September 17-19, 2022 during which Dr. Sarita Devi, Dr. Sushila Hooda and Dr. Sunil Changdev Talekar all from the School of Fashion Design of FDDI presented their research study through online mode.

The first research study, ‘Digital Applique Work: Beautiful in its Simplicity’ elucidates that the developed designs of products with digital technology were evaluated on various parameters. The study was found that applique works such a fabulous craft, developed designs of products with digital technology were highly liked by consumers.

The second research study, ‘Technical Textile: Nanofibres and Their Potential Applications’ explains that the future success of nanofibres in textile applications lies in areas where new principles will be combined into durable, multifunctional textile systems without compromising the inherent properties of textile including processability, flexibility etc.
