Industrial visit at Leiner Shoes Pvt. Ltd., for FDDI, Noida students

Under the industrial visit, the students of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida campus were taken to Leiner Shoes Pvt Ltd., on 19th September 2022.

The students of School of Footwear Design and Production (SFDP) of B. Des FDP 2020-24 and M. Des FDP 2021-23 batches who were accompanied by the highly experienced faculty of FDDI, visited the factory located at Hosiery Complex, Noida.

Leiner Shoes was founded by Gautam and Deepika Mehra in 1989. They has fully mechanized factories producing 1.2 million pairs of shoes annually. Leiner pioneered the production of high heeled shoes in India and now manufactures shoes, boots, sandals, slippers, wedges and sneakers for women.

The students visited the different departments of the company and learned about the latest technology machines, production of footwear and working environment of the company by the experts of various departments. They were taken around the plant and explained about the manufacturing of different constructions and styles of footwear.

The students carefully observed the work operations besides the quality and other work philosophies of the company which will be helpful to them in their professional skill enhancement.
