On 07th December 2022, a training session on ‘Gender Sensitization/ Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH)’ was organized by HR-HQ, Noida during which all the employees from rest of the 11 campuses of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) were connected virtually from the virtual classroom facilities at their respective campuses.
Ms. Malvika Goel, from Linking Tree - Facilitator, Gender & Diversity Consultant and Movement Therapy Practitioner was the resource person of the training session.
The training session was conducted through presentation and case studies explaining every basic detail of the workplace ‘gender and moral ethics’.
It provided clarity to the employees about the ‘Behavioural Code of Conduct at Workplace’ and POSH at Workplace under the POSH act which was passed by the Government of India in 2013.
She elaborated about the Sexual Harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and Rules made thereunder and also stressed on the need of this law in contemporary times, responsibility of employer, employees to create a healthy environment at workplace to achieve gender sensitization.
The training session was attended by 40 employee of the Institute who participated with full zeal.
