Webinar on ‘Careers in Design’ held at FDDI Ankleshwar, campus
The unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19 has given a boost to using electronic & digital platforms as most suitable & effective medium of communication and using this medium, a webinar on ‘Careers in Design’ was held at Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Ankleshwar campus on 25th June 2021.
Ms. Shahnaz Siddiqui, Founder of Afrin Foundation was the resource person for the webinar.
Afrin Foundation is non-profitable NGO established in New Delhi on March 25th 2010. It’s trade mark is approved by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi. Its main object is not to serve the society alone but, to update it with the current affairs in multiple welfare services.
The webinar shed light on the growing demand for ‘Design’ as a profession which is a creative field and is the heart of every sector.
As part of career counselling, Ms. Shahnaz opened the session by briefing about the need and opportunities for forging a career in ‘Design’. She also briefed about the role and importance of designing in an organization.
Mr. Kuldeep Dattatraya Ghorapade –HoD, FDDI School of Fashion Designing (FSFD) and Centre In charge Ankleshwar Campus briefed about FDDI, the various professional courses conducted by the institute, it’s admission eligibility, curriculum and aspects of industry integration and the job opportunities available.
During a presentation, he elaborated about the concept & application of ‘Design’ and how designers are laying strong foundations for businesses across the globe in the post the COVID-19 world.
The webinar got an overwhelming response as more than 40 teachers, aspirants and students participated in this live session.
