A creative workshop on ‘Recycle and Reuse of Everyday Material’ was held at Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Chhindwara campus from 26th to 30th December 2022.
To engage the young people in reusing ordinary materials they encounter regularly & to be more innovative, the School of Fashion Design, FDDI Chhindwara campus organized the five days creative workshop which was attended by around 200 participants from 25 reputed schools of Chhindwara and in its vicinity.
Students from eminent school like Government Higher Secondary School - Guraiya, Sunrays Public Higher Secondary School - Chhindwara, CM-Rise Government Higher Secondary School - Guraiya, Govt. Higher Secondary School - Khunajhirkala, Little Step School - Borgaon, Shaskiya Madhyamik Ucchtar Vidhyalay - Borgaon, Govt. Higher Secondary School Chandangaon - Chhindwara, Govt. Higher Secondary School -Umranala, Govt. Excellence School – Chhindwara, Govt. Higher Secondary School - Kamthi, Govt. Higher Secondary School - Linga, CM-Rise School - Amla, Gyan Bharti Higher Secondary School -Chandangaon, Delhi Public School - Chhindwara, Bhart Bharti Public School, Kanya Shiksha Parisar Junnardeo - Chhindwara, Govt. Higher Secondary School - Sukludhana, Govt. Higher Secondary School -Kundalikala, Choti MLB Kailashnagar - Chhindwara, Shri Sai Public school Chandangaon – Chhindwara etc., enthusiastically participated in the creative workshop.
The Design faculties of FDDI conducted the workshop that helped the participants to learn how to remove barriers that limit their creativity. It also provided an opportunity to the students on how to reuse materials creatively instead of disposing of them and to acquire the techniques & skill to develop various items by utilizing the waste, based on the topic of the workshop.
The creative workshop also acquainted the students about the professional courses conducted by FDDI in the area of footwear, fashion, leather products, and retail & fashion merchandise and the career option available in these areas.
