FDDI, Chandigarh (Banur) campus conducts live e-workshop ‘3D Modeling – Bringing Ideas Into Reality’
A live e-workshop, ‘3D Modeling – Bringing Ideas Into Reality’ was conducted at Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Chandigarh (Banur) campus on 17th May 2021.
The e-workshop was organized by the FDDI School of Leather Goods & Accessories Design (FSLGAD) through online mode from 11:00 AM -12:30 PM, for which Mr. Shivam Soni was the resource person.
Mr. Shivam Soni an industry expert Motion and 3D Artist Designer, who is leading the 3D team of brand ‘Happily Unmarried’. He is a Design Graduate from Pearl Academy of Fashion, Noida (2014-18).
Mr. Shivam Soni while making a presentation explained about 3D modeling which is an excellent outlet for artistic creativity. It facilitates ‘design thinking’ that supports the creative processes resulting the expression that can move beyond simply creating pieces of art and can provide solutions to real-world problems.
He briefed upon the need for digitization and process efficiency which has become must in order to cope up with the real world scenario, and the requisite to learn computer aided ways for cutting down on cost and providing changeable outputs.
The e-workshop provided an opportunity to participants to learn the softwares which shall allow them to quickly create a wireframe of their design taking all the way up to final submission ready project. Instead of using traditional methods, this technology will allow them to play around with materials, finish, fitting and changing the model design altogether if needed, saving them a whole lot of resources and time.
While concluding, the doubts of sixty participants were cleared during the interactive session.
