FDDI, Chandigarh students bagged first position in national level ‘Virtual Fashion Show 2020’
The students of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Chandigarh campus participated in a national level ‘Virtual Fashion Show 2020’ and secured the first prize of Rs.3000.
This ‘Virtual Fashion Show 2020’ was organized by NITTE School of Fashion Technology & Interior Design which is a leading Fashion and Interior Design institute of South India affiliated to the Bengaluru Central University (BCU).
Six students of third year namely, Ms. Anushka, Ms. Vani, Ms. Shreya, Ms. Kriti, Ms. Swati and Ms. Riya while staying at home, had worked together and sent their entry for the virtual fashion show on a theme ‘Street Style’ which was inspired by Raja Kumari. They beautifully and interestingly draped and tailored sarees in a new different look.
The stunning collection was highly appraised by the judges which consisted of Ms. Shaambhawu Ventakes - Actress and Mr. Steplin Lalan - Fashion Designer. They announced the results of this show through a video message on Instagram on 28th July 2020 in which the 1st position was secured by FDDI’s budding designers.
The digital fashion show is certainly one way to get around social distancing rules that best fits our needs of today in the COVID-19 pandemic.
