Certificate distribution ceremony was held on 15th December 2022 for the trainees sponsored by Western Coalfields Ltd., (WCL) who successfully completed the training programme conducted by Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Chhinwara.
FDDI had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WCL for conducting short-term skill upgradation training programs for the displaced and unemployed youth of coal mines region of WCL.
WCL sponsored a total of 60 candidates out of which 30 candidates underwent the training programme in Footwear Design and Production (FDP) and 30 candidates underwent the training programme in Retail & Fashion Merchandise (RFM).
The main focus of the training program was to make the youth employable and dependent.
Mr. S. P. Singh, Sr. Manager, WCL was the ‘Chief Guest’ of the event whereas Dr. Krishna Harzani, Managing Director, Pariwar Trading Company, was the ‘Guest of Honor’ who were welcomed by Mr. Pradeep Mandal, HoD-FD & Centre In-charge, FDDI, Chhinwara campus and other staff of the campus.
Besides awarding certificate to the successful trainees, 12 trainees of FDP programme and 06 trainees of RFM programme also got the offer letter from companies like Euro Safety Shoes, Shake Hands, Pantaloons, Shopping Zone and Tata Tanishq. Other successful trainees of FDP as well RFM are likely to get their offer letter very soon.
