A two-day's workshop on 'Creative Hand Embroideries' was conducted for the students of students of 3rd Semester - Fashion Design (FD), Footwear Design and Production (FDP) and Foundation Batch at FDDI, Rohtak campus on 7th and 8th October 2024.
Dr. Sangeeta Tomar having 6 years of experience in traditional and creative hand embroidery was the resource person who provided tips and tricks to the students to transform a plain piece of cloth into a beautiful work of art with the technique of embroidery.
During the workshop, Dr. Sangeeta explained about embroidery materials and tools, basic and advanced stitching techniques, design principles and composition and ribbon works etc.
With expert guidance and step-by-step instructions, students learned and created various decorative samples using different coloured embroidery threads, ribbon work and ornamentation materials.
