On 11th September 2024, FDDI, Chhindwara organized an online guest lecture on 'Powering Soft Skills for Towering Success' for its students of the School of Retail and Fashion Merchandise (RFM).
The event, coordinated by Ms. Nazreen Qureshi, featured Dr. Nitin Vighne, a Soft Skill Trainer, International Career Counselor, Yoga Therapist, Management Trainer, HR & Management Consultant and an Extremely Celebrated Ex- Clinical Psychologist for Indian Air Force.
Dr. Nitin Vighne initiated the lecture by commencing an ice breaking session with the students, a game which worked as an ice breaker between him and the students. He provided insight on the need of soft skills which are essential in both academic and professional life.
He further delved into the importance of an integral part of retail industry and in general life that is soft skills and enlightened students with intra personal skills, interpersonal skills and corporate skills.
The lecture encompassed several crucial aspects of soft skills in terms of attitude generation process, motivation, personality development, self-esteem, balancing the work-life aspects, in depth knowledge of skill development journey.
The event not only provided a comprehensive understanding of the importance and need of soft skills in the Retail industry but also inspired students to equip themselves with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in this transformative era.
