On 14th October 2024, FDDI, Hyderabad campus held its 4th Convocation ceremony during which a total number of 8 students were awarded degrees at both Under Graduate and Post Graduate levels across disciplines including Fashion, Footwear, Retail, and Leather Goods.
Mr. Jishnu Dev Varma, Hon'ble Governor of Telangana was the 'Chief Guest' whereas Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology (IT) Departments, Government of Telangana was the 'Guest of Honor' for the occasion. Mr. V. Noushad, CEO of Walkaroo Footwear also graced the occasion with his esteemed presence.
The ceremony started with a 'Welcome Address' by Dr. Narasimhugari Tej Lohit Reddy, IAS, Executive Director (ED) - FDDI, Hyderabad campus for esteemed dignitaries on the dais, parents, students, faculty members and media persons.
The dignitaries on the dais were felicitated with memento and floral bouquet by ED - FDDI, Hyderabad campus.
In his 'Keynote Address', Mr. Jishnu Dev Varma, Hon'ble Governor of Telangana applauded the Graduates for their dedication and urged them to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship as the cornerstones of success in the fast-changing Footwear, Fashion, Retail, and Leather Goods industries. "In today's world, creativity and innovation are not merely advantageous-they are essential," he remarked.
The 'Guest of Honor', Mr. Jayesh Ranjan extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Graduates, urging them to take up leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to the industries they are stepping into. "You are the torchbearers of the future," he said, motivating the graduates to push boundaries and lead with vision.
In his address, Mr. V. Noushad, CEO of Walkaroo Footwear, encouraged the Graduates to think beyond the conventional, innovate fearlessly, and strive for excellence in every endeavor. He highlighted the critical role of creativity and adaptability in transforming the footwear industry.
The 'Passing Out Oath' was administered by ED - FDDI, Hyderabad campus to the passing out students.
All the meritorious students who excelled in academics, innovation, and project work were awarded with Gold and Silver Medals.
