‘10th International Yoga Day’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm across all campuses of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) by holding Yoga sessions on 21st June, 2024.
To mark its significance and raise awareness about the many benefits of Yoga, the United Nations proclaimed 21st June as the International Day of Yoga in December 2014.
At FDDI, Noida campus, Yoga session was conducted on 21st June 2024 by certified Yoga instructor, Ms. Acharya Moksha Anand.
FDDI, Hyderabad campus, the participants practiced asanaas and several mudras (hand gestures), which are believed to channel the body's energy flow and improve health.
FDDI, Jodhpur campus, various types of Yoga asanaas and breathing exercises were conducted for the staff of the institute by Dr. Pooja Sharma, Assistant Professor, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Ayurvedic University and other team members as per the guidelines of the Ministry of AYUSH.
Mrs. Supriya Sinha, a Yoga therapist, Ayurvedic Dietician & Psychotherapist who is the president of Salkia Shree Seba Foundation and has dedicated 18 years to uplifting the Adivasi communities in North Bengal guided the staffs of FDDI, Kolkata campus and helped to promote the development of Yoga.
Mr. Piyush Yadav – Yoga Trainer, conducted the Yoga session at FDDI, Chennai campus.
At FDDI, Rohtak campus, Yoga session was conducted by Mr. Anil Kumar, a distinguished scholar with an MA Sanskrit and an MA Yoga. At FDDI, Banur campus, Yoga session was conducted by Ms. Shaifali Verma, Sr. Faculty G-II.
Mr. Piyush Yadav – Yoga Trainer, conducted the Yoga session at FDDI, Chennai campus.
At Fursatganj campus, Yoga camp was organized.
FDDI Chhindwara campus organized a Yoga workshop for its staff members. The event featured Miss Rashmi Surywanshi, a renowned National Yogasana player and YouTuber, who also leads regular yoga sessions at Rajmata Scindia Government College, Chhindwara. The second session was conducted by Mr. Raja, who led a Mindfulness Yoga session.
Around 200-250 employees of across campuses attended Yoga session with a great zeal and enthusiasm who were guided through a series of yoga asanaas (poses) designed to enhance flexibility, strength, and inner balance.
