On 18th July 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between FDDI’s Center of Excellence (CoE) and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (Divyangjan) (PDUNIPPD) at Vishnu Digamber Marg, New Delhi.
PDUNIPPD is an autonomous organization under the administrative and financial control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India with the aim to serve the physically disabled of all age groups.
The collaboration between PDUNIPPD and FDDI offers a comprehensive approach to advancing orthotic technologies in footwear. The key areas include joint research on biomechanics and materials, product development with FDDI’s design expertise, and educational programs to disseminate best practices.
On behalf of FDDI, Colonel Pankaj Kumar Sinha, Secretary/Managing Director (MD) signed the MoU, whereas, on behalf of PDUNIPPD, Dr. Jitendra Sharma, Director signed the MoU in the presence of Dr. Madhusudan Pal, CoE – Director, and other faculty and staff of FDDI.
The MoU was exchanged on 22nd July 2024 in the esteemed presence of Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), New Delhi.
This multifaceted partnership promises innovation, improved user comfort and performance, and successful market integration of advanced orthotic solutions, benefiting both parties and their stakeholders.
