FDDI, Chennai students Honoured by Dharmapuri - DC


On August 5, 2024, three first-year Bachelor of Design students from FDDI, Chennai campus were honoured by the Dharmapuri - District Collector (DC), Tmt. K. Shanthi, IAS.

The students were from Tamil Nadu Govt. Residential Model School Programme (TNGRMSP) who were given coaching for national level entrance examinations for admission in premier institutes like IIT, NIT, FDDI, etc. This year a total of 415 students got admitted in premier institutes like IIT, NIT, FDDI, etc.

Almost 80 students were admitted in FDDI Chennai in this academic year from various districts of Tamil Nadu. The Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M K Stalin felicitated the Government School students who have secured admission for higher studies in premier institutions in a function held at Anna Centenary Library, Chennai on 2nd August, 2024.

These students from TNGRMSP namely, John M, Yoga K, and Yamini S S, of 2024 batch of the B. Design program, who belong from Dharmapuri district were honoured by the DC to acknowledge their recent admission to FDDI - an ‘Institute of National Importance’ who have made both the State and their parents proud.

This accolade highlights their academic achievements and marks the beginning of their promising journey in the field of design at FDDI, Chennai.
