Research paper of Faculty of FDDI, Fursatganj published in the Journal of TCRC


A research paper of Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Senior Faculty of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Fursatganj campus was published in the Journal of Textile Clothing & Research Centre (TCRC), New Delhi.

Mr. Rajesh Sharma having experience of more than 20 years in Academics & Industry, has keen interest in design development - apparel, textiles, traditional crafts and graphics. He worked as designer with exposure in national and international brands – Duke Fashions, Almotahajiba.

The research paper of Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Senior Faculty of FDDI School of Fashion Design is pertaining to the issue of sustainable textile and clothing, the title of which is “Approaches to Sustainable Practices in Textile & Clothing – Academia & COVID”.

Briefing about the research paper, Mr. Rajesh Sharma said, “Sustainable fashion is a major challenge ahead for future generations and textile industry. Adopting sustainable fashion and textiles can play a crucial role to accomplish sustainable development goals. In this regard eco-friendly textiles, processing, methods and practices should be adopted to sustain for future without disturbing the ecosystem. Academic institutions can be a good platform for the awareness & adoption of sustainable practices and fashion.”
