Ms. Sweta Kumari, Jr. Consultant, Leather Goods Department of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), NOIDA, through online, presented a research paper during the National Conference on Fashion, Apparel and Textiles 2020 (NCFAT'20) which was held on 14th October 2020.
It was organized by Amity University, NOIDA.
The titled of the research paper was ‘An Empirical Analysis of Foot Ergonomics for Athletic Shoe’.
The aim of the paper was to analyze the importance of study of foot ergonomics in designing athletic shoes.
This paper helps to address the gaps between tradition athletic shoe making and customized shoe making and stresses on the need for wearing the proper athletic shoe for particular sports and also for specific foot types which can help in all the three parameters of athletic shoes-comfort, performance and protection.
This paper also stresses on the need of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) in developing Athletic shoe taking into consideration different foot shapes.
