A webinar on ‘Technical Consideration of Soles and Customer Satisfaction’ was held at Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Chennai campus on 12 September, 2020.
Organized by the School of Footwear Design & Production (SFDP) of FDDI, Chennai, the webinar provided insight on the innovation of various soling materials, which are most widely used by the footwear industry.
Mr. Praveen Kumar Singh, Group Manager - Training & Development, Bata India Ltd., was the resource persons for the webinar.
Mr. Praveen Kumar Singh has done B. Sc. (Electronics) from University of Lucknow in 2004 and P.G. Diploma in Footwear Designing and CAD-CAM from FDDI in 2006 is having more than 11 years of experience.
He briefed about the importance of soles which apart from other products, is a vital constituent of footwear that provides fit and comfort.
Mr. Praveen explained about the latest materials, avl technologies, identifications, product differentiations, making methods, testing’s, innovations and customer satisfactions.
The session was attended by more than 90 participants, which included students from various campuses, college professors, staff members and faculties of FDDI.
