FDDI, Chhindwara student awarded ‘Best Upcoming Designer’ at ‘World Design Forum’
Ms. Teena Khaidait, a final year student from School of Fashion Design (FD), at FDDI Chhindwara, secured the award for ‘Best Upcoming Designer’ in the Indo-Western category.
Her Indo-Western designs, inspired by 'Prakriti/Nature,' showcased a perfect blend of form and function, earning her acclaim among the top 25 designers in the Emerging Talent category. Ms. Teena's design collection focused on celebrating the craftsmanship of handloom weavers, seamlessly merging tradition with contemporary aesthetics.
The accolade was presented at an event hosted by the ‘World Design Forum’ in Delhi which was organized on 29th - 30th December 2023, where finalists were chosen from 500 design aspirants across India.
The jury members consisting of renowned figures like Rina Dhaka, Ankush Anami, and Bollywood Actress Shatipriya, recognized her outstanding skills and unique vision.
Her success amplifies FDDI Chhindwara's commitment to nurturing talent and excellence in the field of fashion design and making her a symbol of thriving creativity shaping India's design landscapen
Prior to this, she was shortlisted as finalist in the qualifying event held at Agra for the Season Six of the national event, ‘Youth Fest & Talent Hunt’, held on 1st & 2nd July 2023 organized by the World Designing Forum in collaboration with the Agra Development Authority.
