Workshop on ‘Financial Literacy & Tax Planning’ held at FDDI, NOIDA


An interactive workshop on ‘Financial Literacy & Tax Planning’ was organized by HR-HQ, NOIDA at the Seminar Hall of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), NOIDA campus on 14th August 2020.

The workshop was organized with the objective to make awareness about financial planning amongst the employee and to equip them with basic financial knowledge on tax planning.

The session was conducted by Dr. Puneet Mohan, Sr. Faculty, Business Management, a Ph.D. in Finance, MBA - Finance and M. Tech in Industrial Engineering with 6 years of diversified experience in financial services, space and business management along with 8 years of academic experience in business & finance.

Delivering the ‘Welcome Address’, Mr. Anil Kumar, Advisor – HR, FDDI said “In the contemporary economic scenario which is full of uncertainty, it is of paramount importance to be aware about the financial planning and to examine the risks that can impact on one’s funds that can help provide lifelong income.”

He also explained about the provisions of the Employees Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 and the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.

Dr. Puneet Mohan gave insight and sensitized the staff member on basic understating of finance, in addition to individual taxation, so as to enable them to manage their personal finances and practice planning to achieve financial goals in life.

This workshop provided information about investing and common investing terminology to help in making major financial decisions so as to take control of their personal finances and achieve important life goals.

The session was attended by around fifty employee of the Institute who participated with full zeal.
