On 18th March 2023, the a batch of 23 students of FDDI, Noida and Banur campus visited the 55th edition of the Indian Handicrafts and Gifts (IHGF) Delhi Fair which was held at India Expo Centre & Mart located at Knowledge Park, Greater Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
55th IHGF Delhi Fair 2023 edition presented a comprehensive collection of home, lifestyle, fashion, textiles & furniture products for the season ahead from over 3000+ manufactures & exporters.
The main objective of the visit was to make the young minds aware about the upcoming trends on materials, colours & design aspect of the Design industry.
Under the supervision and guidance of the faculty of FDDI, the students of School of Leather Goods & Accessories Design (LGAD) visited the fair and also attended the seminars conducted during the fair.
The fair was an excellent learning experience for the students, who got a deeper understanding of India's cultural heritage and the skillful workmanship of its artisans. The students were fascinated by the intricate designs and patterns of the handicrafts that were on display. They saw a fusion of traditional and contemporary art forms, which were merged to create beautiful and unique products.
