About the Speaker:
Subhajit Saha is an IP professional and senior executive with 22+ years of experience in IP, Policy & Advocacy and corporate communications. He is currently working with the LCGC Resolute group as their Head of Legal and IPR and founder of Resolute4IP service vertical for the group. Prior to this, he worked as Director & Head of CII at Hyderabad. After serving for 17+ years he moved to the corporate world. He has an rich expertise in protection and prosecution of all forms of IPR’s which includes Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights, Industrial Designs, GI’s etc. along with IP management solutions for Industry and Academia. He has also worked extensively on Industry policy advocacy matters and closely with Governments and serving Membership of CII.
Mr. Subhajit has undergone several training programmes on IPR with the Govt of India and was a part of many International and National conferences on IPR.
Mr. Subhajit is currently involved in building IP management portfolios for MSME’S and working on protecting several handicrafts and textile products for GI registration from Telangana, AP, and India. He was involved in the facilitation of GI registration for Pochampally Ikat the first GI from AP in 2004 and also the famous Tirupati Laddu along with 20+ GIs from AP & Telangana.
As a member of the non-Agricultural products committee of Organization for International Geographical Indications Network (ORIGIN) he was invited to Bordeaux in 2013 to deliver a lecture on Indian GI’s. He has attended several international training programs like the JPO training on IP Management in July 2014 at Tokyo and the International Visitors Leadership Program on IPR to the US supported by the US Federal department in 2015. He had the opportunity to travel on many overseas tour in his career for IPR and Technology Services.
With over 17+ years of experience in IPR facilitation services, he is also a visiting faculty to the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM), GOI, IISWBM, Kolkata, University of Hyderabad, OU, ASCI,Jntu-H Ni-Msme, Hyderabad and several other institutions across India.
He is a postgraduate in Microbiology with a PG Diploma in Patent Laws from Nalsar. He has a PG diploma in Planning and Project Management from University of Hyderabad.
