FDDI participated in the 06th edition of Delhi International Leather Expo (DILEX) - Reverse Buyer Seller Meet which was held at India International Convention and Expo Center (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi on 20th & 21st February 2025.
Senior officials from Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, and the Council for Leather Exports (CLE), prominent industrialists, dignitaries from various embassies, international buyers, and members of the press and media attended the inauguration ceremony.
During DILEX, a panel discussion on "Bharat - the Destination for Footwear and Leather Products Sourcing" was held which was attended by Mr. Rajendra Kumar Jalan, Chairman - CLE, Mr. R. Selvam, IAS, Executive Director – CLE, Mr. Vivek Sharma, IRS, Managing Director-FDDI, Mr. P.R. Aqeel Ahmed, Managing Director - M/s. Florence Shoe Co. Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Sanjay Leekha - Founder and Chairman-cum-Managing Director - Alpine Group, Mr. Puran Dawar, Chairman - Dawar Footwear Industries, Mr. William Wong, Founder/ Chairman of Federation of Hong Kong Brands, Mr. Motilal Sethi - President, Indian Leather Garments Association (ILGA).
During DILEX, a Reverse Buyer Sellers Meet (RBSM) was hosted by CLE which was attended by the eminent dignitaries and the participants.
The students of FDDI displayed a wide range of creations at its stall which included men's and women's footwear, casual, formal, sports shoes, fashion accessories, leather goods, handbags, and wallets.
FDDI students volunteered to help/supported CLE organizing the whole event.
DILEX provided an excellent platform to highlight the diverse strengths of the Indian leather industry, enabling traders and manufacturers to engage directly with industry-focused buyers.
