Industrial visits for DGR Certificate Course Trainees organized by FDDI, Noida at Alpine Industries, Faridabad

On 27th June 2025, FDDI, Noida organized an industrial visit to Alpine Industries for the trainees sponsored by the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), who are currently pursuing a Certificate Course in Footwear Manufacturing and Retailing.

The visit began with a tour of the sole manufacturing unit located at Faridabad, New Industrial Area, where a group of 23 trainees observed the production of EVA injection-molded soles for Reebok and rubber soles made through the vulcanization process for Adidas. They gained valuable insights into the machinery, raw materials, and key processes involved in sole manufacturing.

The next phase of the visit took the group to the full shoe assembly unit, where a variety of Adidas shoes featuring diverse designs and technical specifications were being manufactured. The facility had a daily production capacity of 8,000 to 10,000 pairs and featured a diverse range of designs and technical specifications, highlighting the scale and complexity of organized footwear manufacturing.

This exposure to large-scale, organized footwear production provided participants with a clear understanding of the manufacturing process and inspired them to explore opportunities for establishing their own footwear units in the future.
