On 25th July 2025, Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated at FDDI, Hyderabad Campus to honour bravery of Indian soldiers during 1999 Kargil War. On this occasion, a blood donation camp was also organized.
A solemn pledge ceremony was held, during which all the employees and students took an oath to uphold the values of unity, patriotism, and dedicated service to the nation.
Addressed the gathering, Dr. Narasimhugari Tej Lohit Reddy, IAS, Executive Director (ED), FDDI, Hyderabad Campus highlighting the Kargil War, which lasted for about 60 days, ended on this day. He highlighted that despite harsh terrain, the Indian Armed Forces displayed exceptional bravery, and their dedication and supreme sacrifice for the nation will continue to inspire every citizen.
Subedar Kumar Neesu, a decorated defence personnel from the Patiala, Punjab cadre, delivered an emotional tribute, recalling the unparalleled bravery of Indian soldiers and the immense sacrifices they make in the most extreme battlefield conditions.
Dr. Sudha Kiran, CEO of the Shri P.V. Narasimha Rao Memorial Trust, highlighted that the Kargil victory stands as a testament to the indomitable spirit of India, and emphasized that the event served as a heartfelt tribute to the nation's fallen heroes. With the support of medical professionals, over 30 students and faculty members came forward to donate blood. Additionally, free Hemoglobin (Hb) testing, Blood Pressure (BP) checks, and blood group identification services were provided to all attendees.
