With the objective of fostering industry-academia collaboration and capacity building in the footwear and allied sectors, a five-day National Training Program on Material Science & Footwear Engineering was organized at FDDI, Jodhpur Campus from 07th to 11th July 2025.
The program brought together participants from across India, faculty members and scientists from various FDDI campuses which aimed at enhancing understanding of emerging trends, technological innovations, and sustainable practices in the fields of footwear design, material science, and fashion technology.
The sessions were enriched by the presence of renowned experts such as Dr. D. Kumar, Retired Principal Scientist, Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI), and Mr. Ankit Jain, Co-founder of UF Polymers who shared valuable insights on practical applications of materials, innovation strategies, and real-world challenges in sustainable product development.
