Setting the tone for an academic year marked by ambition, transition and new beginnings, orientation programme for the newly inducted students of the session 2025-2026 was organized at FDDI campuses.
The programmes were designed to not only to introduce students to institute’s live but also to familiarize them with the academic structure, campus facilities and available resources. Sessions included guidance on institute’s policies and an overview of support system.
Orientation programme at FDDI Noida Campus, was held on 21st July, FDDI. Mr. Vivek Sharma, IRS, Managing Director (MD)- FDDI, inaugurated the session with an insightful address, urging students to embrace learning with enthusiasm. Delivering the Keynote Address, he encouraged them to actively engage with their batch mates, seniors, and faculty to maximize their learning experience and academic journey at the institute.
Ms. Manju Maan, Executive Director, shared the institute’s vision and reaffirmed FDDI’s commitment to supporting students throughout their journey. She also outlined key rules and expectations, laying a strong foundation for discipline and growth.
At FDDI, Rohtak Campus a three-day orientation programme was conducted from 21st to 23rd July 2025. The programme was graced by eminent personalities from the footwear industry: Mr. Subhas Jagga, Chairman, Footwear Industry Association, Bahadurgarh and Mr. Pawan Goyal, Managing Director, Combit Footwear, Bahadurgarh, Haryana. During their sessions, they shared valuable insights on the future of the footwear industry, job prospects, and career progression. They encouraged students to commit to excellence and work diligently to build successful careers in the field. To spark creativity, they also announced an exciting design competition exclusively for freshers—encouraging them to showcase their talent and think outside the box.
During the orientation programme, all Heads of Departments and others associated addressed the students and made them aware of various aspects of functioning of the Institute. Students were also made to understand the Teaching Learning Process and active learning in theory and practice.
At FDDI, Hyderabad Campus it was organized on 21st & 22nd July 2025 during which an ‘Ice Breaking Session’ was conducted by Dr. Leena George (Freelance Soft Skill Trainer) followed by student’s interactive & motivational session by FDDI alumni Mr. Karthik Peruru (Creative Director & Talent Manager), Mr. Vooradi Prasanth (Lecturer-GILT, Hyderabad) and Mr. Poturi Chandra Shekar (Lecturer-GILT, Hyderabad).
During the orientation programme held at FDDI, Patna Campus from 21st to 22nd July 2025, Ms. Priyanka, Mayor, Bihta who was the Chief Guest of the programme addressed the students and motivated them to acquire learning with dedication, staying curious, and continuously upgrade one’s skills to succeed in their chosen fields.
A ‘Mindfulness and Meditation’ session along with Yoga was also organized for the students. Mr. Ritesh Mishra, alumni of FDDI provided insights to the students on recent footwear trends and how FDDI helps students in shaping their career in the field of footwear and fashion.
During the orientation programme held on 22nd July 2025 at FDDI, Jodhpur Campus, Prof. (Dr.) Ram Gopal, Ex-Director, DRDO was the Chief Guest. In his address, he encouraged the students to cultivate discipline, emotional intelligence, innovation, and a harmonious outlook toward life.
