Prestigious ‘Best Cultural Wear’ title at ‘Miss Grand India - 2025’ awarded to costume designed by FDDI, Hyderabad Campus team


Ms. Apoorva, representing Telangana at ‘Miss Grand India - 2025’, was awarded the ‘Best Cultural Wear’ title, wearing a breathtaking state costume designed by talented team from the School of Fashion Design (FD) of FDDI, Hyderabad Campus.

‘Miss Grand India’ event is the national pageant that selects India's representative for the international ‘Miss Grand International’ competition to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on 18th October 2025. ‘Miss Grand India - 2025’, was held on 13th July 2025 by Star Entertainment Production in which twenty-nine candidates from different States and Union Territories of India competed for the right to represent the country in the parent tournament.

The costume worn by Ms. Apoorva paid a heartfelt tribute to Bathukamma — Telangana’s vibrant and sacred floral festival that celebrates feminine energy, unity, sisterhood, and devotion. FDDI team designed beautifully merged traditional silhouettes with contemporary detailing, symbolizing the strength, grace, and spirituality of Telangana’s women and their deep connection to nature and culture.

The ensemble was lovingly crafted by creative team consisting of Ms. Shraddha Marshal (Alumni – 2020 Batch), Ms. Neha Bhima, Ms. Pranavi Sunchu, Ms. Yaagnika Reddy (all from B.Des. FD – 2023 Batch) under the guidance and support from Mr. K. Harish Kumar, Faculty, FD.
