Subsequent to the signing of MoU between Centre of Excellence(CoE) - FDDI and two esteemed educational institutions-Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Chennai and Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University (TNPESU) Chennai, a delegation consisting of Dr. S. Edward Jero and Prof. Davidson Jebaseelan from VIT Chennai, along with Dr. P. Rajnikumar, Associate Professor at the Centre of Excellence in Biomechanics and High-Performance Centre (CEB-HPC) at TNPESU, visited CoE-FDDI, Chennai on October 9, 2024.
During their visit, Dr. M. Vimudha, Senior Project Engineer, CoE FDDI, Chennai, with her team, highlighted the significance of the sophisticated instrument facilities such as computer-aided last designing and manufacturing machines, reverse engineering, and 3D printers, which posed a prudent future for high-quality footwear design and manufacturing research.
The delegates were enthralled with the possibilities of developing innovative products, technologies, and knowledge which could be benevolent for both the footwear industries and the academia alike.
