In accordance to the ‘National Education Policy 2020’ (NEP), a week long ‘Vocational Training Program (VTP) in Fashion Design’ was conducted by FDDI, Jodhpur campus for the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Jalore.
The tailor-made VTP which was conducted from 17th to 23rd December 2024, was inaugurated on 17th December during which Mr. R. K. Jain (IFS), Chief Conservator of Forest, Jodhpur was the Chief Guest.
Sharing the details, Mr. Anil Kumar (AFHQCS), Executive Director (ED), FDDI-Jodhpur campus said, “Playing the role as a catalyst for nurturing young talent and promoting skill development in the region, the objective of conducting VTP by FDDI, Jodhpur was to generate awareness amongst students about various career options so as to enable them to make a choice in accordance with their aptitude, competence and aspirations.”
The faculty of FDDI imparted the training and introduced the students to the fundamentals of fashion design, and provided practical skills essential for the industry. Subsequent to this, the product jury session was held which showcased the innovative ideas and designs conceptualized by the students during the workshop.
FDDI faculty and other professionals evaluated the designs, providing constructive feedback to encourage the students’ efforts and guide them toward excellence.
On this occasion, ‘Certificate of Participation’ was given to the students during which Mr. G.S. Bhati, Executive Director, Central Wool Development Board, Ministry of Textile, Jodhpur was the Chief Guest.
