On 06th August 2024, Dr. Madhusudan Pal, Scientist -G & Director, CoE, FDDI delivered ‘Keynote Lecture’ at Woxsen University, Hyderabad during the International Conference on Fashion as a Tool for Social Change, organized by the School of Arts and Design.
The topic of the lecture was ‘Translational Research: Product Design’ during which, Dr. Pal provided insights into how ergonomic principles can revolutionize footwear, functional clothing design, to enhance both comfort and functionality.
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of integrating human-centric design processes in the fashion industry to create products that not only meet aesthetic standards but also contribute positively to the wearer's functional requirement, comfort health and well-being.
Throughout the conference, participants engaged in dynamic discussions, exploring how fashion can be leveraged as a catalyst for social change. The event provided a platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaborations, and inspiring new approaches to design that prioritize sustainability and inclusivity.
