To expand the practical knowledge and to acquaint about the various activities related to dyeing, embroidery followed by garment production, an industrial visit to Titliya Fashion Studio was organized for the students of Fashion Design of FDDI, Kolkata campus.
Titliya Fashion Studio basically deals with all types of unused fabrics and is involved in production of sustainable apparel.
During the visit on 13th September 2024, the students of B.Des – FD, Semester VII & V who were accompanied with their faculty were briefed by Ms. Tasneem Habib, Co-founder Titliya Fashion Studio about the various steps involved in the manufacturing of garments, starting from the unused fabric.
The students gained practical knowledge about sustainable garment production right from the waste fabric to finished product and were introduced to various sections related to garment industry like Store section, Embroidery section, Cutting section.
It was a beneficial visit for the students as they interacted with the workers and gained practical knowledge about sustainable garment production right from the waste fabric to finished product.
