SFDP Noida campus shall be organizing a 2-day “Sneaker Design Adventure” Art of Design workshop from 8th to 9th Feb 2024 for the M.Des FDP and B.Des FDP design students. The workshop is tailored to design students hungry for creativity, this immersive experience goes beyond the basics, offering hands-on exploration of the dynamic intersection between design aesthetics and cutting-edge innovation in the world of sneakers. It is an opportunity for students to express their unique style and make a mark in the ever-evolving world of sneaker design. Participants in this workshop shall have exposure to the Art of Design, design processes, the footwear market, genre of footwear, the workflow of working with clients/brands, and an introduction to AI and new 2D-3D design skills by special guest Designers from Adidas, US through the virtual classroom.

The proposed workshop will be conducted jointly by Ms. Rashmi Tomar, Sr. Faculty, SFDP, and Mr. Vidit Chhikara, FDDI alumni. After completing his course from FDDI, he pursued Footwear and apparel Innovation Design at Pensole, Footwear Design Academy based in Portland, Oregon, USA. He has completed 3D concepts and 2025 innovation projects with Adidas as a 3D design Intern, in Portland, Oregon, and later worked as a Design Consultant for Adidas, Puma & FILA. He was a Product Design student at the College for Creative Studies, Detroit, Michigan, USA. He is currently a Footwear Design Consultant for FCTRY LAB & EQLZ, USA.
