FDDI, Rohtak campus participates in Skill Expo Workshop
On 31st October 2022, Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Rohtak campus participated in Skill Expo Workshop held at Panipat, Haryana and displayed the shoes and apparels made by it.
Other schools, colleges, institutes and Universities like DAV Hooda School, Partab Public School (Karnal), Dayal Public School, (Nilokheri), Shri Ram Professional Institute, Geeta Vishwavidyalaya and other textile industries from the States of Haryana participated in the workshop and showcased their products and new technology like Robotics, Digital Embroidery Machine, Digital Block Printing Machine etc.
Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya, Hon’ble Governor of Haryana was the ‘Chief Guest’ of this event who visited the stall of FDDI, Rohtak and applauded the efforts of FDDI in bridging the skill gap and transforming the skills in the footwear and fashion sector, leather goods and lifestyle products.
He interacted with Mr. K. D. Pandey, Senior Faculty, FDP, Mr. Amit Sain, HoD, FD, and Mr. Vipin of the institute who explained him about biomechanics & sports shoes and sustainable and creative fashion apparel. He also interacted with the students and appreciated their products and skills.
The staff members of the institute also interacted with Mr. R. P Singh, Joint Director CBSE and Ms. Swati Gupta, Department Secretary, Skill Unit, CBSE.
This platform also provided an opportunity to the students to interact with footwear and fashion experts to gain knowledge of various new technologies.
