Footwear Design & Development Institute was established by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
FDDI Rohtak campus is located at Plot No. 1, Sector 31-B, IMT, Rohtak, Haryana. The campus area spread over 15 acres of land and is planned to intensively focus on Design and Fashion related requirements.
Haryana has great potential in leather and footwear clusters. The present clusters of Haryana like Bahadurgarh, Faridabad, Karnal and Ambala etc are expanding fast and have promising future and this institute is working as a catalyst in their growth process.
The institute being established is equipped with most modern and high-end state of art infrastructure to ensure world class training environment and prepare the students to excel efficiently across the globe & provide gainful employment to the youth of the region.
FDDI Rohtak centre is providing critical support to the industry in the area of Design, Fashion & Trend forecasting, Technology, Retail and Management so that the Indian industries can become more competitive, in terms of Design, Cost, Quality and Delivery time in the global market.

The classrooms create an atmosphere that is conducive for learning which nurtures the quest for knowledge that the students possess. All classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with modern teaching aids. These include electronic media such as multimedia LCD projectors, cordless microphones and speakers, etc.

The campus has well-equipped workshops & labs with adequate number of latest machines & equipments. State-of-the-art machines are available in the Cutting, Closing, Component, Lasting & Finishing Workshops for Footwear Design & Production students. For the students of Fashion Design the available Labs are Garment Construction, Pattern Making, Photography, CAD, Dyeing & Printing.

The Visual Merchandising Lab is especially designed to cater the needs of Fashion Design course as visual merchandising provides significant career opportunities in retail sector.
This lab is equipped with the different hardware which are being used for display whereby the students can integrate themselves with practical learning.

In addition to academic pursuits, extracurricular activities make up a valuable part of the overall college life. Students can develop their social and interpersonal skills by getting involved in various co-curricular activities. Various clubs like Sports, Cultural, and Literary are functional in the FDDI, Rohtak campus which are managed by respective committees consisting of staff and students. These clubs and activities encourage our students to delve deeper into activities and subject areas that they are passionate about. Such activities also improve their teamwork skills, and ability to build meaningful relationship with friends and peers, as well as with junior and senior students.

The campus provides spacious, hygienic & secure hostel facility both for boys & girls separately. The hostel rooms are located within a walking distance of the teaching departments & laboratories.
The rooms are properly ventilated and provided with fans, tube lights and necessary furniture.
Each student is provided a cot, a chair, a table and cupboard (locker)It has recreation room, colour television set, music system, facilities like clean drinking water, generator power back up, dining halls, etc. Room are well furnished and students are required to bring only their personal belongings( including bedding for all seasons). Moreover, the hostel is offer on first-cum-first-serve basis.
The in-campus, Badminton, Volley ball Courts , Table Tennis and various other indoor games like Carom, Chess etc. give extra opportunities to students to showcase their sports acumen.
The campus enjoys fully air-conditioned, world-class auditorium which is equipped with an ultra modern, professional level light and sound systems, multimedia LCD projector, recording system, spacious dais etc. for lectures, conferences, company meetings, educational, cultural and recreational activities.
An innovative set-up with open-air seating, the Amphi-Theatre provides a platform for students to showcase their artistic and creative talents among other things.
