A seminar on 'Decoding of Fashion Forecast' was held FDDI, Rohtak campus on 10th April 2023 during which Ms. Supriya Deswal, owner of Stitch Stories and also an alumni of FDDI Rohtak was the resource person.
She started her brand in the year 2020 that makes handmade footwear which promotes Indian culture & handmade fabric artistry. Her vision is to spread the brand worldwide and make the country proud.
Ms. Supriya Deswal has been involved in the footwear industry for almost 7 years. She has also worked in renowned companies like Liberty Shoe Limited, Welcome & XO Footwear. In XO Footwear, she was the ‘Development Head’.
Through the presentation, Ms. Supriya Deswal briefed about forecasting and explained types of fashion forecasting, mood board, inspiration board and colour board materials etc.
She also explained about how we use inspiration in our footwear, fashion & accessories products. Along with this, she gave the current information about the processing of footwear parts, latest materials & techniques used in making footwear etc.
The seminar was attended by the student and faculty members of Footwear Design & Production and Fashion Design.
