The FDDI, Noida has been conferred the Second Prize for Excellence in Hindi under the Rajbhasha Shield Scheme of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
The prestigious award was presented during the meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, held on 3 August 2026 at Parliament House, New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry.
The meeting was inaugurated by Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Secretary, DPIIT, and conducted by Dr. Kajal, Joint Secretary, DPIIT. Members of the Hindi Advisory Committee, including Shri Jitin Prasada, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Satish Kumar Gautam (Aligarh Lok Sabha), Shri Bhojraj Nag (Kanker Lok Sabha) and Shri Mahendra Bhatt (Rajya Sabha), along with other non-official members, participated and shared their valuable suggestions.
The award was conferred upon FDDI by Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, and Shri Jitin Prasada, Hon’ble Member of Parliament.
The meeting emphasised the effective use and promotion of Hindi in official work, including original correspondence in Hindi, preparation of notes and drafts in Hindi or bilingual formats, making websites fully bilingual, and greater use of the BHASHINI platform for translation and Official Language activities.
The recognition under the Rajbhasha Shield Scheme, which promotes excellence, healthy competition and effective implementation of Hindi in subordinate offices, reflects FDDI continued commitment to promoting Hindi and strengthening the effective implementation of the Official Language policy.
