FDDI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MIND CAD, Portugal on 08 July 2026 marking an important step towards strengthening international academic and industry collaboration in the areas of advanced CAD/CAM technologies, skill development, certification and technology transfer.
The MoU was signed by Shri Vivek Sharma, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI; Mr. Ferrando, MIND CAD, Portugal; and Mr. Baljeet Singh, Indian Partner, MIND CAD, in the presence of Ms. Sangeeta Singh, Business Head, MIND CAD; and Mr. Prashant Saxena, Head, Business Development, FDDI Headquarters. Representing FDDI’s academic leadership were Dr. Renu Sharma, Head Academics, FDDI, and Mr. Neeraj Sharma, Head of Schools – Footwear, FDDI.
The collaboration will facilitate advanced CAD/CAM training programmes, international workshops, industry-oriented certification and technology transfer, enabling students and faculty to gain exposure to contemporary global technologies and practices. It will also support capacity building and skill enhancement among MSMEs, helping them adopt modern digital design and manufacturing technologies.
Through this partnership, FDDI aims to strengthen the integration of technology, education and industry requirements, provide greater international exposure to its students, and enhance their preparedness for the evolving footwear and fashion industry. The collaboration further reinforces FDDI’s commitment to fostering global partnerships, technological innovation and industry-ready skill development.
