FDDI Faculty Research Paper Published in Indexed, Peer-Reviewed, NAAS-Rated Journal


A research paper titled “Phuldigitize: Conversion of Traditional ‘Phulkari Embroidery’ to Digital Form” has been published in the International Journal of Agriculture Extension and Social Development, an indexed and peer-reviewed journal with a NAAS Rating of 5.04.

Authored by Dr. Sarita Devi, Faculty, School of Fashion Design (FD), FDDI Rohtak and Dr. Sushila, Faculty, School of Footwear Design and Production (FDP), FDDI Noida, the paper appears in Volume 8, Special Issue-11, November 2025 (pp. 100–104).

The study documents traditional Phulkari motifs and digitizes them using Wilcom E2 embroidery software, demonstrating how digital tools can help preserve and revive this historic craft. The digitally developed designs were highly appreciated by both consumers and experts.
