Strengthening Workplace Dignity: POSH Act and Gender Sensitization Session at FDDI

On 19th December 2025, FDDI reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace by organizing a comprehensive Awareness Session on the POSH Act, 2013 and Gender Sensitization. The session witnessed active participation from employees of FDDI Headquarters and the Noida campus, reflecting the institution’s shared responsibility toward upholding workplace dignity, equality, and mutual respect.

The programme served as a meaningful platform for learning, dialogue, and reflection, with eminent experts leading in-depth discussions on the legal provisions of the POSH Act, 2013. The deliberations emphasized employees’ rights, organizational obligations, and the institutional mechanisms in place for the prevention, prohibition, and redressal of workplace harassment. Beyond legal compliance, the speakers highlighted the behavioral and ethical dimensions essential for nurturing a modern, professional, and gender-sensitive work environment.

Through real-life case studies, interactive discussions, and scenario-based learning, participants were sensitized to appropriate workplace conduct, the importance of mutual respect, and the role of awareness in building a culture of trust, accountability, and inclusivity. The initiative strongly reinforced FDDI’s unwavering resolve to promote gender equity, respect, and professionalism across all its campuses.

The session provided a comprehensive overview of the POSH Act, 2013, offering participants an in-depth understanding of the legal safeguards available to employees. It clearly outlined individual rights, organizational responsibilities, and the institutional mechanisms established for the effective prevention, prohibition, and redressal of workplace harassment, thereby strengthening awareness of formal grievance redressal processes.

In addition, the discussions focused on gender sensitization and individual accountability, moving beyond statutory compliance to emphasize empathy, the recognition and elimination of unconscious biases, and the need to foster a workplace culture grounded in dignity and inclusiveness. The session reinforced that a safe and respectful work environment begins with each individual, underscoring the importance of informed action, ethical conduct, and the courage to consistently uphold professional standards.
