The research paper titled “Altere: Redefining Women’s Footwear Through Transformable Design” was conferred the Second Best Paper Presentation Award under the Product Design theme at the Three-Day International Conference on “Creative Design Practices, Interdisciplinary Research & Emerging Technologies”, jointly organized by the Amity School of Fashion Technology (ASFT) and the Amity School of Architecture and Planning (ASAP), Amity University Chhattisgarh, from 15–17 April 2026.
The award was received by the research team comprising Dr. Pooja Singh, Mr. Ashok Joshi, Mr. Sudarshan Shahi faculties and Ms. Jhanvi Garg, a student of batch of 2022 in recognition of their innovative contribution to transformable footwear design.
The research explores adaptable footwear solutions that seamlessly integrate functionality, aesthetics, and user-centric design. By enabling multiple styles and uses within a single product, the concept promotes versatility, enhanced user experience, and sustainable consumption. The study presents a contemporary approach to footwear innovation, addressing evolving consumer preferences while contributing to advancements in product design and design-led innovation.
The achievement reflects FDDI's continued commitment to fostering research excellence, creativity, and innovation in footwear design, while encouraging interdisciplinary solutions that address emerging industry and consumer needs.
