FDDI Empowers School Leaders Through Specialized Exposure Workshop

FDDI Fursatganj, in collaboration with the District School Inspector, Mathura, organized an Exposure Workshop for principals of government, non-government-aided, and self-financed schools at Kishori Raman Inter College, Mathura, on 10th November 2025, with Mr. Muralidhar Sharma, Principal of the host institution, and Ms. Kavita Saxena, Nodal Officer, as special guests. A similar workshop was held the next day, 11th November 2025, in partnership with the District School Inspector, Agra, at Government Inter College, Shahganj, Agra, where Mr. W.N. Middle, District Coordinator, and Mr. Manvendra Singh from the host institution graced the occasion as special guests.

The objective of both workshops was to introduce school principals to institutions engaged in skill development under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and to strengthen their understanding of vocational and skill-based education. Highlighting the importance of the initiative, Mr. Sunil Dwivedi, Executive Director (ED), FDDI, emphasized that NEP 2020 positions vocational education as a key pillar of both school and higher education, and these workshops served as a platform to familiarize principals with the skill-based programs offered by nearby institutions and explore avenues for future collaboration.

Principals were briefed on emerging innovations and technologies in footwear and fashion, enabling them to guide students toward evolving career pathways in skill-oriented sectors. Through this initiative, FDDI encouraged school leaders to adopt modern, industry-relevant curricula and inspire students to pursue skill-based education for a brighter future. Both workshops focused on showcasing new technologies, highlighting employment-oriented opportunities, and strengthening the integration of vocational education in the school ecosystem in alignment with NEP 2020.

During the workshop, the Executive Director announced that FDDI will be opening admissions next month for its four-year programs and shared the institute’s proud achievement of securing the 2nd rank in Uttar Pradesh and 15th rank nationally among government institutions in the design category in the IIRF Ranking 2025. He further informed participants that FDDI will soon launch three one-year diploma programs at its Fursatganj campus and Banthar, Unnao satellite campus in the fields of Footwear Technology, Fashion Design, and Retail Fashion Management. These programs offer flexible exit options after one semester with a certificate, with the option to complete the second semester later to obtain a diploma, and students completing both semesters will receive placement support from FDDI.
