As part of AILPA 2025, students from FDDI’s School of Leather Lifestyle & Product Design, School of Footwear Design & Production, and School of Fashion Design played an integral role in the event’s organizing and hospitality teams.
Students assisted international buyers from countries including the USA, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Australia, Egypt, Russia, Taiwan, the Netherlands, and the UAE, gaining first-hand exposure to global sourcing practices and business communication. Each student was paired with a buyer aligned with their area of study, assisting with logistics, buyer–exhibitor coordination, and on-site facilitation.
This engagement provided students with practical insights into international trade operations, product evaluation, trend forecasting, and sustainability practices, strengthening their understanding of the global market ecosystem.
Notable brands such as Humble Goods (USA), Serenade Leather (Australia), Orskov Copenhagen (Denmark), Braun Büffel (Germany), and Bear Design (Netherlands) participated in the fair, offering students valuable opportunities for professional interaction.
The event also witnessed an inspiring reunion with FDDI alumni, who shared their experiences as established industry professionals, further enriching the learning experience for current students.
Through this hands-on participation, FDDI reaffirmed its commitment to experiential learning, ensuring that its students emerge as industry-ready design professionals equipped with global perspectives and sustainable values.
