An industrial visit was organized for students of FDDI Fursatganj on 14th October 2025 to provide practical exposure to the manufacturing and retail processes in the Footwear and Fashion industries. A total of 94 students from Footwear Batch 2022, FDP 2023, FDP 2024, FD 2022, FD 2023, FD 2024, and MBA (Fashion & Retail Management) who were accompanied by 6 faculty members participated in the visit.
The group visited Tirubala International, Tarun Textiles, and Sanghvi Lasts at Dada Nagar, Kanpur, where they gained first-hand experience of industry operations. At Tirubala International, students observed the complete footwear manufacturing process, while at Sanghvi Lasts, they learned about last modeling, footwear components, and design techniques. Their visit to Tarun Textiles provided insights into garment manufacturing and product development, including sportswear production.
In addition, students from the Fashion Design and MBA streams visited Z Square Mall to understand retail operations, customer engagement, and visual merchandising strategies adopted by leading fashion brands.
