A joint research study by Dr. Rambabu Muppidi and his team FDDI, Hyderabad and Chennai campuses, along with collaborators from other reputed institutions, has been published in the Scopus-indexed Elsevier Journal – International Journal of Environmental Sciences (ISSN: 2229-7359) on 10th October 2025.
The paper, titled “Computer Embroidery as a Tool for Village Women’s Empowerment: A Case Study of Palvoncha” (Vol. 11, No. 24s, 2025), explores the transformative impact of digital embroidery in empowering rural women.

The study available at https://theaspd.com/index.php/ijes/article/view/11224 documents 10–30 computer embroidery designs created across villages including Palvoncha, Kothagudem, Pandurangapuram, Tekulapalli, and Gangaram, highlighting the role of the Nava Women Empowerment Centre, Palvoncha. The findings underscore how computer embroidery enhances rural women’s creativity, technical skills, and livelihood opportunities.
