FDDI, India conducted a training programme on ‘Pattern Engineering’ for the Footwear Sector of Bangladesh from 20th to 24th May, 2023. It was organized by Leathergoods & Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association of Bangladesh (LFMEAB) in association with Centre of Excellence for Leather Skill Bangladesh Limited (COEL), in Chandra, Gazipur, Bangladesh.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Mr.Mominul Ahsan (CEO, COEL), Mr. Sayed Nasim Manzur, President LFMEAB & MD Apex Footwear Ltd., Mr. Abdur Rahim Khan, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Mr. Prashanta Kumar Nanda, Sr. Faculty FDDI, Kolkata, Major Md. Rafiqul Islam (Retd.), Secretary General LFMEAB & Ms. Sharif Nawrin Akter, Manager LFMAB.
The training was successful as it provided the participants with the essential knowledge on the different aspects of footwear designing and pattern engineering and also widened their skill base to work efficiently for the growth of the footwear sector of Bangladesh.
A total of 27 participants from different footwear industries of R & D Department of Bangladesh who attended the training programme were also provided ‘Certificate of Participation’.
