Research papers presented by students and faculties of FDDI, Hyderabad campus during ‘ICHFNTT-2020’


Two research papers were presented by the students and faculties of Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Hyderabad campus during the International Conference on Handloom, Fashion, Non-woven and Technical Textiles (ICHFNTT-2020).

‘ICHFNTT-2020’ was held on 27th – 28th, February 2020 at University College of Technology (A), Osmania University, Hyderabad in association with Department of Handlooms & Textiles, Govt. of Telangana during which around 150 research papers were presented.

This international conference also provided an opportunity for participants to share and discuss their creative ideas for futuristic footwear design & development.

On 27th February 2020, poster presentation on the topic of “Essence of Footwear through Centuries in India : A Frame Work of Ancient & Futuristic Footwear” was made by Ms. Mulpuri Alekhya, Ms. Vanga Ashitha, Ms. Monachari Varsha, under the guidance of Mr. Deepak Choudhary, H.O.D, School of Footwear Design and Production (SFDP), FDDI, Hyderabad.

On 28th February 2020, oral presentation on the topic of “Unconventional Method of 3DP is used as a Creative Heel Design & Development” was given by Ms. Lakshmi Gayatri Pudipeddi, Ms. Satuluri Jaya Meghna under the guidance of Mr. Abdul Rahuman M., Jr. Faculty (SFDP), FDDI, Hyderabad.

Both the research papers were presented under ‘Session 08: Smart Polymer & Footwear’ as new examples of creative possibilities in futuristic footwear design and development. The context of both research papers were based on new innovative research and ‘Industry 4.0’ which gives opportunity to develop futuristic leather and non- leather based sectors in India with global standards.

Both the research papers were selected by CHFNTT-2020Scientific Committee consisting of Dr. K.Murugesh Babu, Soochow University, China, Prof. Vinay Midha, NIT, Prof. Vinay Mishra, NIT, Dr. Narhari Kriya, USA, Dr. Narendra Reddy, CIIR Bengaluru & Team which will be published in Taylor & Francis Publication, United Kingdom.
