Virtual ‘Sneaker Design’ workshop organized by FDDI, NOIDA


A virtual ‘Sneaker Design’ workshop was organized by Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), NOIDA campus from 2nd to 4th December 2020.

FDDI School of Footwear Design & Production organized the three days’ workshop for M.Des and Bridge batch along with final year design students.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Vidit Singh an FDDI alumni. He after completing his course from FDDI, he pursued Footwear & Apparel Innovation Design at Pensole Footwear Design Academy based in Portland, Oregon, USA. He is currently a Product Design student at College for Creative Studies, Detroit, Michigan, USA.

The purpose of the virtual workshop was to provide technical inputs to the students for enhancing their designing skills and to introduce them to the world of Sneaker Culture & build their expertise in designing from the perspective of US/European markets.

Participants were exposed to different approaches, design process, footwear market, genre of footwear, workflow of working with clients/brands.

Mr. Vidit shared his knowledge and expertise using presentation tools through PowerPoint lectures, 2D Illustrator/Photoshop Design/Procreate and handouts.

The intricacies provided during the virtual workshop will help the students in making their work truly inspirational and adaptive to the contemporary footwear fashion world.
