Profile & Biography
Dr. Agya Preet is a Faculty Member in the School of Fashion Design at FDDI Chandigarh, with over 11 years of academic and industry experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Textile Engineering & Management (2021) and an M.Tech in Textile Engineering (Gold Medalist, 2012) from NIT Jalandhar, along with a B.Tech in Textile Engineering from JNGEC Sundernagar (HPU, 2010). Her areas of expertise include sustainable fashion, technical and protective textiles, and textile processing. Her professional standing is further highlighted by her NET and GATE qualifications and multiple awards for research excellence at national and international conferences.
She has published many research papers (in SCI, and Scopus), authored the book Green Fashion Marketing, and filed a patent in textile innovation. Dr. Preet actively reviews for reputed journals such as the Journal of Textile Association (JTA) and Textile & Leather Review. She has guided numerous UG and PG projects, contributed to curriculum development at NSTI Mohali. She is also a member of the National Institute for Science and Technological Information (NISTI). With a solid foundation in textile engineering and a flair for creative design, she continues to make significant contributions to both academia and industry. Through her roles as educator, researcher, consultant, and mentor, she remains committed to shaping the next generation of designers and engineers.
